If you’d prefer to make a monetary donation, checks may be dropped off at the lobby window. Please make them payable to GVPOA with “Caring and Sharing” noted in the memo line.

Grass Valley Police Department Supports Prostate Cancer Awareness

This November, the Grass Valley Police Department and the Grass Valley Police Officers Association (GVPOA) are teaming with the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for men’s prostate health.

Our goal is to raise $1,500 to support prostate screening events at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, which will help with early detection and education for men in our community.

To show our support, officers will be allowed to grow beards throughout the month of November. To help reach our goal, the GVPOA will donate $500 to the cause as part of this awareness campaign.

Your generosity can help us achieve our goals. Although the GVPOA is not a tax-deductible organization, we have partnered with the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation to provide a way for your support to have a significant impact. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and all proceeds support prostate cancer awareness.

Help us spread the word that GREAT Camp is now accepting summer camp registrations for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. If you’re not familiar with GREAT Camp, it’s a one week day-camp taught by uniformed officers to empower kids with life skills.

If you know a middle schooler who could benefit from our camp, please pass this post along!

Last weekend the Grass Valley Police Officer’s Association hosted our annual Caring and Sharing breakfast. Thank you to everyone in the community who helped support us with this awesome event to support local families!

A special thank you for Mr. and Mrs. Claus for taking time out of your busy schedule to deliver gifts to some amazing kids and to Winding Road Imagery for photographing the event!

Our Annual Caring and Sharing Event took place on Saturday and with the help of our generous community, GVPOA was able to provide an amazing Breakfast with Santa event for many families! Thank you to photographer Joy Porter for capturing the special memories!
