A Grateful Farewell
After more than 40 years of serving our community, our beloved Mt. St. Mary Academy Thrift Store will be closing its doors.
For more than four decades, the Thrift Store has been so much more than a place to shop. It has been a place where neighbors connected, families found affordable clothing and treasures, and our community came together to support one another.
Despite a longstanding 40+ year agreement between the St. Joseph Cultural Center, Mt. St. Mary Academy, and St. Patrick Church, the Cultural Center Board has requested that the Mt. St. Mary Academy Thrift Store vacate the building as the Board moves in a different direction.
This is a tremendous loss, and our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a place that has meant so much to so many.
We are incredibly grateful to our community for your unwavering support throughout the years. Most of all, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation to every employee, volunteer, donor, and customer who helped make the Thrift Store what it was. Your time, generosity, hard work, and dedication made a lasting difference in the lives of countless people.
While the doors may be closing, the memories, friendships, generosity, and community spirit created here will remain with us.
