Family Child Care at its Best

Providing home-based child care providers with high quality learning opportunities.

Family child care and family, friend, and neighbor providers are a critical source of support for working families. The Family Child Care at Its Best program delivers high-quality, research-based workshops that help home-based caregivers improve their knowledge, skills, and quality of care for working with mixed-age groups of children.

Audience: Licensed and license-exempt child care providers, family, friend, and neighbor providers, other providers who care for mixed-aged groups of children, and coaches who support these providers.

Partnering with Parents

April 1 & 8, 2024 6:00-8:30 PM

Provides an opportunity to learn skills that maximize providers’ ability to establish healthy communication and trust with parents and other caring adults in the lives of children.

Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) is coming and we need your input! UPK offers more free and low-cost preschool spots.

If you are a Nevada County parent/guardian of a 3-4 yr old, we want to know how UPK should be designed to support you and your child’s needs.
