Dolly has broken the internet! There has been such an outpouring of love for the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in the last 24 hours that their website can't handle all of the traffic. If you're interested in signing up, please email us your child's information and we will work on signing them up. If you're interested in donating, there is a link to the Rotary Club of Nevada City's Zeffy page.

In the last day, we've had 22 new children sign up for the program and have received 6 donations to help keep Dolly's legacy and love of reading going in Nevada County.

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, many children in Nevada County find a book in the mailbox, because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you.

Community Involvement Day @ the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
Come by the Nevada County Fairgrounds and support the Kids' Corner with First 5 Nevada County!!

We are looking for donations of gently used or new kids books and cases of water! You get a BOGO fair ticket voucher. We will be here until 6 pm tonight.
