Not What I Voted For

Not What I Voted For FEEL BETRAYED BY MAGA PROMISES? Higher costs, job losses, healthcare cuts, and a wild disregard for the rule of law. More common ground. Less screaming. Questions?

Follow Center-leaning voices in CA’s Congressional District 3 (Sacramento Suburbs to E Sierra). More common sense. Less Screaming. This page is for voters in California’s Third District who lean more center (vs far left or far right) and are just as fed up with the impact of the current administration’s policies as we are. This effort is volunteer-driven. We are centrist voices, but are not affili

ated with any political party. We welcome volunteers and respectful contributions from people across the political spectrum. Be kind to others. Stay on topic.

From the Suburbs to the Sierras, we’re tired of the dysfunction. We were promised leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a government that had our backs. Instead, we’re getting higher costs, healthcare cuts, more wildfire risks—and growing attacks on personal freedom and the rule of law. While Trump-aligned politicians hand out tax breaks to the wealthy, they’ve broken their promises to working Americans and turned their backs on the people who actually live here. If you’re wondering how we got here — you’re not alone. This is Not What We Voted For. Email us at [email protected]

⚡️ POWERLESS PRIORITIES
$13 million in federal funds to modernize the Liberty Utilities grid in the Tahoe–Truckee region was cut by President Trump — funding that would’ve upgraded aging power lines, added fire-detection sensors, and reduced outages in this area of District 3.

Rep. Kevin Kiley’s response? “Funding should be based on neutral criteria and the public interest.”

Sounds reasonable — but it’s also a dodge. When a project that clearly serves the public interest gets axed right here at home, our representative should be fighting to save it, not hiding behind empty words.
