Announcing… The 2026 JPLCKW Writers Weekend will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 19–20. The event usually occurs in May, but as most of you know, this has been a difficult year. Looking forward to seeing old friends, making new ones, and enjoying some wonderful talent.

Check this out!

Bob and Debbie Gresham with the Bluegrass Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America stopped by Penn’s Store this weekend to let us know a trip to Penn’s Store is on their club’s agenda for Saturday, August 1, around 1:30 PM!

Everyone is welcome to come out and view all the neat old cars. These will include everything from Model As to more modern classic sportsters, and everything in between. Additionally, anyone wishing to bring their own classic car or truck to Penn’s Store on Saturday, August 1 is welcome to join in!

A Flood Watch has been issued for the Penn’s Store area. As the store is located at the junction of the North Rolling Fork and Little South Creek, anyone planning a trip to the store today should be mindful of this and use caution in your travel accordingly.

Flooding at Penn’s Store…

Due to flood conditions here at Penn’s Store, we must close the store for the remainder of the day. Over the past 15 minutes, flood waters are within inches of jumping over the bridge to Penn’s Store.

For everyone’s safety, Penn’s Store will be closed for the remainder of today. Hope to see everyone at the store tomorrow!
