🚨 Boil Water Advisory in Effect 🚨

Attention City of Gray Water Customers:

Due to a water main break on 7/24/25, some areas have experienced low water pressure or temporary water outages. As a precaution, a Boil Water Advisory is now in effect for all affected customers.

✅ What you should do:
• Bring all water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or preparing food.
• Use bottled water if available.
• This advisory will remain in place until water samples are tested and confirmed safe.

💧 Please note: Water pressure is expected to gradually increase throughout the day as crews complete repairs and restore the system.

✅ We’re working quickly to restore normal water service and will keep you updated as soon as the advisory is lifted.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure your safety and restore full service.

EFFECTIVE IMMMEDIATELY:
The City of Gray Water & Sewer Department needs public participation to mitigate low supplies of water and water storage. The outdoor watering restrictions are as follows:

• Water customers with even numbered addresses may water on even numbered dates. Water customers with odd numbered addresses may water on odd numbered dates.
• Irrigation of new and replanted plants, seed, or turf may be done at any time of day for 30 days after installation.
• Irrigation for personal food gardens may be done on any day of the week.

Please be good stewards of our water resources.

Here’s how you can help:
• Regularly check for, and repair, leaks inside and outside the home.
• Don’t leave tap water running when shaving, brushing teeth, and face washing.
• Only water your landscape when necessary. Adjust sprinklers so only your lawn is watered and not the house, sidewalk or street.

**BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED**

Public Advisory Boil Water Notice*

The City of Gray’s Water Distribution System experienced a water main break on Ga Hwy 18 West that is causing water pressure in parts of the water system to drop to low levels. When this occurs a potential health hazard may exist in these areas of zero pressure from back flow and/or back-siphonage of water of unknown quality into the water distribution system.

In order to protect the public from a potential health hazard, all citizens that have experienced water outages and/or low water pressures are advised to ‘’boil’’ all water prior to use for drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil. Citizens should continue to boil their water until they are notified by their drinking water utility that the water system has been restored to full operation, and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.
