Gray Fire Rescue is to promote, protect, and improve the health, safety, property and environment of the citizens and visitors of our community. The department provides 24-hour emergency protection to the residents of Gray with ALS (paramedic) emergency medical response and fire suppression operations with full-time, per-diem and call company staff. Training, emergency management, water, ice and t

echnical rescue, public education and fire prevention are also within the department’s list of duties. Between our two fire stations (Central and Dry Mills) the department operates two ALS ambulances, two one thousand gallon engines, a heavy rescue truck, a 105 foot tower ladder, a three thousand gallon tanker, two ATVs, a rescue boat, two command vehicles and a utility truck. Gray Fire-Rescue personnel protect a variety of property types, such as highways, condominiums, single family homes, apartment buildings, manufacturing, commercial- industrial and a variety of businesses. UPDATE: Road Detours due to accident are as follows. Shaker closed by Weymouth , Route 26 by Sabbathday Rd and Route 26 by Mayberry Rd. Use caution and be prepared to be rerouted.
