702nd Engineer Company (HC) 702nd Engineer Company (Horizontal) is a part of 844th Engineer Battalion - US Army Reserve in Gray, TN Commander CPT John Lecroy and 1SG Larry Jones

The unit converted under the Engineer Transformation to modularity in FY 2008 (Oct 2007) and became a Horizontal Construction company. Prior to that the unit designation was Alpha Company, 844th Engineer Battalion (Combat)(Heavy). Unit's home station is Armed Forces Reserve Center in Gray, TN where it has been residing since 1999. Prior to that, unit resided in Kingsport, TN and had a designation of Delta Company, 844th Engineer Battalion (Combat)(Heavy)
