🚩 Red Flag Warning - No Open Burning in Crawford County

Due to today’s critical fire weather conditions, open burning is prohibited in Crawford County.

Important Weather Update:
• A Red Flag Warning is in effect.
• South winds of 10–15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph will continue strengthening into the evening.
• Humidity levels will drop to 20–25%, creating extremely dry and dangerous fire conditions.
• Sunny skies and unstable air will add to the fire risk.
• If a fire starts, it will spread rapidly.

Burn permits are not being issued, and burning without a permit is illegal.

Please:
• Do not burn today — even small fires can quickly become uncontrollable.
• Secure outdoor fire sources, including grills and recreational fires.
• Report any unauthorized burning immediately.

We appreciate your cooperation in protecting our community during these hazardous conditions.
