Join us in praying for the family of Olla Fire Chief Joe Thompson, who passed away today. A longtime fire chief, and past president of the state fire association, Chief Thompson was dedicated to his department and his town. It’s my understanding that Chief Thompson passed away at his fire station, and I can’t help but think that would be right where he would want to be when he left this earth.
Job well done, Joe, you’ll be missed, but we have it from here. -Mitch

Our prayers are with our friends at Denham Springs Police Department during the loss of Officer Shawn Kelly. Officer Kelly was shot several times a few weeks back after responding to a fight in front of a business.

Today, we remember those that gave their lives so that we may live the way that we do. Our freedom was not given to us, it has been fought for, home and abroad, since the beginning of our nation.
