It's Arbor Day in Grayson! We'll be celebrating on Saturday, March 4, as the Cub Scouts from Pack 499 plant beautiful Pink Dogwoods around the AHC! Join us!

Mayor Wilkerson has proclaimed TODAY as Arbor Day in Grayson! "Trees, wherever planted, are a source of joy and spiritual renewal." We will be celebrating Arbor Day on Saturday, March 4 at 9 a.m. with Cub Scouts from Pack 499. Join us for a walk through the park guided by Mr. Budd from the GA Forestry Commission and celebrate with us as our Scouts plant 3 Pink Dogwoods to commemorate Arbor Day 2017!

The Grayson Arts & History Center is pleased to have on display one of the windows from Grayson Baptist Church which was organized on April 4, 1913 and later named First Baptist Church of Grayson. Throughout the holidays, the AHC will be open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10-2 for those who want to brows through a bit of local history and shop for unique gifts by local craftsmen and artists!

Our thanks to Mr. Marchese for the donation of this pretty cool Railroad Spike he found in Grayson Park in September. The spike is a remnant of the L&L Railroad which ran from Lawrenceville to Loganville - and back - each day with a stop each way in Grayson! You can find out more about the railroad and how it impacted the history of Grayson at the Arts & History Center.

Mr. Bud is at the Arts & History Center until around 4 today (Tuesday) - and probably tomorrow so come by for a visit to our awesome photo-journalistic history of Grayson exhibit and maybe do a little early Christmas shopping in the Gallery at Grayson! There are some good bargains to be had on the one-of-a-kind art and crafted items there!

The Grayson Arts & History Center houses a photographic museum of Grayson's history and we also host the Grayson Gallery with some of the most unique one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans and craftsmen. It's a GREAT place to get a jump on your Christmas shopping!

Miss Sharon is out of town for a few days, but come visit with Mr. Bud on Friday from noon until 3 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 10-noon. We'll update our November schedule next week!

The Grayson Arts & History Center is primarily manned by volunteers who love our city and are loving to learn about its unique history. Throughout the month of July, we are open on Mondays from 10-2; Wednesdays from 3-5; and Thursdays from 10-2. Stop in on your "Pokemon Stop" or drop by to cool off for a bit and enjoy our gallery! We'd love to meet you!

Why, yes. The Grayson Arts & History Center IS a Pokemon Stop. We understand you must be at least near the handicap ramp near the parking lot in order to to grab it! Good luck out there and be safe!
