Grayville Police Department Executes Arrest and Search Warrants in Ongoing Investigation

Grayville, IL – On April 24, 2026, the Grayville Police Department executed an arrest warrant and search warrant at a residence located on East North Street in Grayville as part of a criminal investigation involving the possession of child po*******hy, unauthorized video recording, and sexual conduct with an animal.
The investigation began following a forensic examination of a cellular device previously seized pursuant to a court-authorized search warrant. Evidence recovered from that device allegedly included numerous illicit images involving minors, sexual activity with animals as well as video recordings believed to have been made inside a public restroom at Road Ranger. Investigators were also able to identify location data associated with some of the recordings.
As a result of the investigation, Brian Allender was taken into custody without incident on charges including:
• 4 counts of Child Po*******hy
• 1 count of Sexual Conduct with an Animal
• 1 count of Unauthorized Video Recording
During the ex*****on of the search warrant, officers seized multiple electronic devices and digital storage items believed to be relevant to the investigation. Those items included gaming consoles, a laptop computer, cellular phones, and an external hard drive. Additional forensic search warrants will be sought for the newly seized devices.
The Grayville Police Department would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Carmi Police Department Officer Beam for his diligent and professional work in conducting the forensic examination of the cellular device involved in this case. We would also like to thank Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter for the use of his department’s forensic software resources that greatly assisted this investigation.
Additionally, the Grayville Police Department thanks the White County Illinois Sheriff's Department and Sheriff Jordan Weiss for the assistance of their deputies during the ex*****on of the arrest warrant and search warrant.
All persons charged with a criminal offense are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Grayville Pre-K van plays a vital role in safely transporting some of our youngest and most precious passengers each day — our Pre-K students. These tiny riders require extra care and time, especially during pick-up and drop-off, as each child must be properly secured in a car seat to ensure their safety.

We kindly ask all Grayville residents and drivers to:
• Slow down when approaching the Pre-K van
• Do not pass the van while it is stopped
• Remain patient, as stops may take a little longer due to safety procedures

A few extra seconds of your time can make a lifelong difference for a child. Your awareness and caution help keep everyone safe — especially our littlest Bison.

Thank you, Grayville residents, for doing your part to protect our community and for keeping our Tiny Bison safe 🦬

Attached is a photo of the van, this van is not currently equipped with a stop arm but please help us protect the most vulnerable members of our community!

Shop with a cop this year was a great success. I’d like to thank all the generous donors who continue to make this event a success. We were all busy shopping and didn’t take as many pictures as we'd have liked, but the smiles on the faces of the children were a blessing, and I look forward to this event every year.

As some of you know, there was a post circulating about an incident that happened at our city pool here in Grayville. Myself (Chief Mason Siegel) and the members of the Grayville Police Department are taking this matter very seriously. I have personally been in contact with family of the individual collecting information on his specific medical issues. I’ve also been in contact directly with the states attorney regarding this matter and we are taking steps to ensure that your children are safe and can enjoy the pool without fear. I’ve spoken with officers about conducting regular checks of the city pool to ensure this kind of thing does not happen again. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this and I will be happy to address them with you, my door is always open! I hope this will help ease the minds of some of you, that this particular incident does not seem to be predatory in nature thankfully.

A Facebook post has been taken out of context according to Grayville Police. While alarming and authorities are taking it seriously, the facts point towards a story with a sadder tone than criminal intentions. The post indicates that two young boys caught an elderly gentleman […]
