Cold Weather Precautions - Keep Water Dripping

Due to the extremely cold weather in our area, water pipes in our district are at high risk of freezing and bursting. To prevent significant damage to your home, please take the following preventative measures:
1. Drip Your Faucets: Please leave a slow, steady, "pencil-lead" size stream of water running.
2. Open Cabinets: Open all cabinet doors under kitchen and bathroom sinks. This allows the building's heat to reach the pipes, especially those on exterior walls.
3. Keep Heat On: Maintain your home temperature at a minimum of 65°F–70°F, even if you are leaving for the day.
4. Leaving Town: If you are leaving, do NOT turn your heat off. Ensure the heat is set to at least 55°F–60°F and leave cabinet doors open.
Please leave these faucets dripping until further notice. We will notify you when the threat has passed.
