Who: All 341 SFG Defenders

What: Annual Ace Cop Combat Challenge (AC3)

When: 26 August 2021/0700 - 1800

Where: Flightline Area, Staging Point at Pow Wow Pond.

Team Composition
Teams will consist of (5) personnel with a breakdown of (4) competitors and (1) alternate
- Each team will have no more than one competitor in the rank of SSgt or above who will also act as the team captain. *Exceptions can be brought to POCs*
- Team captain is reserved for the following ranks: SSgt – TSgt or 2Lt – 1Lt.

BLUF: The annual Ace Cop Combat Challenge was designed to test the mental and physical fortitude of our defenders while promoting camaraderie amongst our group and peers. The competition is a (1) day event that will span across 3.5 miles and will encompass multiple events. All units have allocated teams to fill and we look forward to seeing what all units bring to the competition.

Today, Col Bauman took the SFG reigns from Col Reyes during the change of command at Medal of Honor Park. Col Bauman is on his third tour here at Malmstrom and comes to us from the Pentagon. He will bring a lot of experience to the Security Forces Group and we are excited to continue the winning attitude our Defenders showcase everyday under your leadership!

Well Defenders, believe it or not, Mr KP Marsilio is retiring on 26 Jul. He has served 30 years as a Chief Master Sergeant and led our Stan Eval section the past 13 years as a civilian. Col Reyes’s last official act as the Group Commmander was to present KP with his Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award for his outstanding service to the SFG, our Wing, and AFGSC. Thank you KP for your leadership, dedication, and accountability…best wishes to you and your family as you enjoy full retirement.

Col Reyes had the privilege, on his last full day at Group CC, to recognize Defenders from the 341st and 741st Missile Security Forces Squadrons for their swift actions while responding to an incident. He awarded these Defenders with AF Achievement Medals. Great job to these teammates and the others who responded with them who showcased textbook integration, response, and incident command and control.
