Fort Shaw, SunRiver, and Simms residents are urged to use caution as heavy rainfall continues to create near-flood conditions in portions of the area. Additional rain is expected through Monday, which may lead to rising water levels, water over roadways, and localized flooding.

Deputies with the CCSO and Cascade County Disaster & Emergency Services are actively monitoring conditions and will continue to provide updates as needed. If you encounter flooded roadways, turn around and find an alternate route. Never drive through standing water, as conditions beneath the surface may be unsafe.

Please stay alert, monitor local weather forecasts, and use extra caution when traveling throughout the area.

RIVER RESCUE - Community members may notoce several emergency vehicles on River Dr N, near Elks Riverside Park. We are working with Great Falls Fire Rescue (GFFR) and Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner's Office to perform a river rescue.

At approximately 8:50PM, a 911 caller reported possibly seeing someone jump from the Central Ave W bridge, into the Missouri River. Officers were dispatched and located a person downstream. Crews from GFFR pulled the person from the water and into their boat. The condition of the person is unknown at this time.

Anyone needing to travel on River Dr N may experience delays as we have the road shut down between Central Ave W and 6th St N.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
