๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ Racing for Awareness: Su***de Prevention Month ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’œ

The Cascade County Behavioral Response Team is proud to partner with Electric City Speedway September 5th and 6th to help bring awareness to Su***de Prevention Month and spread an important message throughout our community:

You are not alone. Help is available. Hope is real.

Mental health and su***de prevention affect individuals, families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors throughout our community. By starting conversations, reducing stigma, and making sure people know where to turn for support, we can all play a role in su***de prevention.

๐Ÿ“ž If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Trained crisis counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We appreciate Electric City Speedway joining us in raising awareness and helping us share this lifesaving resource with our community.

๐Ÿ’œ Check in. Listen. Connect. Share 988.
๐Ÿ Together, we can help make sure no one has to face a crisis alone.

๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฉต Their Story Could Help Save a Life ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’œ

Sharing the story of someone we have lost to su***de is never easyโ€ฆbut these stories are incredibly important.

When we speak their names and share who they were, what they meant to us, and the lives they lived, we remind others that su***de affects real people, real families, and entire communities. These conversations can help break the silence and stigma surrounding su***deโ€ฆand they may reach someone who is quietly struggling.

Your story could help someone recognize the warning signs. It could encourage someone to ask for help. Most importantly, it could remind someone that they are loved, their life matters, and they are not alone. โค๏ธ

At the NumbSkullz/Voices of Hope โ€œSu***de Awareness Rideโ€, we would like to invite those who have lost a loved one to su***de to share their story with usโ€ฆif and when they feel ready.

Together, we will remember those we have lost, support those left behind, and offer hope to those who are still fighting. Sometimes one honest story is all it takes to help someone choose to stay. ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ“ฑ When something goes wrong, the right phone number in ten seconds beats an hour of panicked searching, so here are the twelve worth keeping, all on the image.

Dialing 211 connects you to help paying rent, utilities, and food through every local assistance program at once.

Poison Control answers 24/7, and most calls end without an ER trip.

988 is the crisis lifeline, by call or text, for you or anyone you love.

Social Security and Medicare both run free official lines, which means no third-party "helper" service is ever needed.

The IRS has a real number too, and remembering that the IRS never calls you first defuses the most common scam in America.

The official credit report line gets you your free reports by phone with no card required, the opt-out line stops prescreened credit offers and starves mailbox fraud, and the Do Not Call registry takes one call from the phone you are registering.

The Department of Justice runs an elder fraud hotline for when an older adult has been scammed, and the CFPB takes complaints against banks and lenders that companies are required to answer.

And 811 marks your buried utility lines free before any digging project, which is the law in every state.

Why the fridge copy matters: scammers count on you searching in a panic and calling whatever number an ad shows you, and a list you trusted before the emergency is the antidote.

Who in your family is getting this list printed?

P.S. Once a week, I email the best money article I read, with my take on this week's top Facebook posts and what's new on the Ways to Wealth blog. It's free, and you can sign up on the Ways to Wealth home page.
