There's still time to come out to 87 Meridian Lane in Vaughn and pick a pumpkin. We at Family Promise Great Falls would like to thank everyone who was able to make it out today for Pumpkins for a Cause and to all of the volunteers who made the event possible.
Jordan would like to thank everyone for the support of this year's efforts. We look forward to seeing you THIS Saturday, September 30 between 1 and 4pm. In the event you are unable to come out, please consider showing your support directly to this year's charity, Family Promise Great Falls. All donations received via their website through the month of October will be added to Pumpkins for a Cause's grand total which will be presented to them in November. Checks are welcome via mail and payable to Family Promise Great Falls at P.O. Box 455, Great Falls, MT 59403. Please note "Pumpkins for a Cause" in the bottom left corner of the check so it also can be added to the grand total.

City Motors sold a total of 35 vehicles during the "City Motors, Saving Families" event to benefit Family Promise Great Falls. We at Family Promise Great Falls would like to express our deepest gratitude for this amazing donation event. Just a reminder that this amazing event is tomorrow afternoon from 1-4 p.m. Volunteers may start checking in for the first shift at 9:30 a.m. (for setup) and the second shift for volunteers begins at 12:30 p.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. We hope to see you all there, and thank you so much for your support!

We are again inviting area gardeners to consider donating your extra pumpkins to this year's Pumpkins for a Cause event to be held in Vaughn on September 30. All donation collected from participants that day will support Family Promise Great Falls. If you'd like to share your extra pumpkins to a great cause, please direct message us. Help us make this a very successful event for the homeless children and their families in our community.

Join us at City Motors for the City Motors Saving Families event on September 7th! We will be on hand from 4-6 p.m. to talk about how United Way dollars help the families we work with. Also, from September 7-15th City Motors will donate $250 from every vehicle sold to Family Promise Great Falls!!!

Couple of business bites to kick off the week: an apothecary is being built near Target; Carlson Q will be opening in the former Big Mouth BBQ spot on 10th Avenue South this fall; United Way of Cascade County has opened a new office; Family Promise Great Falls is hosting an open house; Great Falls Rescue Mission planning back to school rally.
Family Promise is back in action! They are seeking volunteers to serve at the Hub and help with various tasks in support of families utilizing their services. Some of those tasks include mentoring, job search assistance, childcare assistance, providing snacks and light meals for families, and other activities that the family chooses to complete while at the Hub. Volunteers will also ensure that rules are followed by the families being served. Learn more today about being a Hub volunteer and sign up for a shift with this amazing program!

I'd like to share a rather unusual and free resource...parenting tips bumper stickers! Advancing Parenting, a Camarillo, CA nonprofit, produces parenting tips bumper stickers and makes them available at no cost to schools, businesses, organizations, clinics, and individuals. There are fifty-one in a set and each bumper sticker communicates a parenting behavior or practice generally recognized as supporting the healthy development of children. Just one will be read thousands of times!
Bumper stickers are a unique and powerful way to educate everyone about parenting and prevent child abuse five, ten, twenty, fifty years down the road. At stoplights drivers and passengers point, smile, and nod. Conversations begin and often a phone is used to take a photo of the sticker right at the stoplight. Presumably, they are being shared on social media. It's wonderful to see!
Sets of the stickers can be put in holders and placed on counters and tables so folks can select one or more for their cars. Visit www.advancingparenting.org to request this free resource. Use a computer...our website is not optimized for phones. Please share.
