We are proud to announce that we have been granted $16,000 by The United Way of Cascade County! This funding helps us continue in our mission to prevent and end childhood homelessness.
Stacy was working three jobs to make ends meet. Her daughter was living with her, and they were busy but comfortable in their housing. One day, the unthinkable happened. Their house was condemned due to black mold throughout, and they were suddenly homeless.
Stacy secured a hotel room for one week, but didn't know what to do after that. Someone suggested she contact Family Promise Great Falls for assistance. She made an appointment, and soon became part of our Temporary Housing Program.
Stacy and her daughter were amazing to work with, and felt very fortunate to be housed by our program. Stacy worked hard to save her money, and within a short 60 days had enough to move out.
Family Promise Great Falls paid her deposit, and the family is now in permanent housing. They are thriving, and we couldn't be more proud of their progress. It is stories like theirs that make us happy to do what we do, because the situation was dire but was turned around quickly.
We are very thankful for the support of The United Way of Cascade County, as their grant helps us continue to support families like Stacy's.
