American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 28, is the local union that represents the Cascade County Adult Detention Officers. Our Executive Board and Membership is 100% comprised of current Adult Detention/Corrections Officers. As a part of AFSCME International we join the nation’s largest and fastest growing public service employee union. AFSCME international is

comprised of nurses, corrections officers, Police Officers, Deputy Sheriff’s, EMT's and more. We advocate fairness in the workplace while providing excellence in public service. Unless they work "behind the wall" most people don't know what it is to be a Detention/Corrections Officer or realize the value we provide to the community. Please look for us in the community as we become more involved in community events.
