Great News to report! I will be on the ballot for the March 17 primary for Judge in the 14th Judicial subcircut race. This despite a person from my opponent’s campaign who recently challenged my nominating petitions for Judge to try and knock me off the ballot. My own signature was even challenged as not the proper person who signed. (a/k/a signature objection.) Not to worry, the Records Examination by the Board of Elections showed I have more than the minimum required valid signatures to be on the March 17th ballot. And yes, the Board of Elections did rule my signature is valid and that I am Steve Demitro. (Can’t make this stuff up.)

On Monday I filed my Nomination Petitions with the Board of Elections in Springfield for Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, 14th Judicial Subcircuit which includes Bridgeport, McKinley Park, Brighton Park, Back of the Yards, Pilsen, Little Village and parts of Cicero. The purpose of a Judicial Subcircuit is to elect Judges who are from the community. I have lived in this community my entire life. With the experience I obtained during several diverse positions in my life, with my legal knowledge, integrity, honesty, and commitment to the rule of law, I believe I would be an asset to the Circuit Court of Cook County.
