The Teen and Youth Program is a recreational program where you can participate in different activities: arts & craft, leadership groups, basketball, video games, community service and more.

Great Lakes Teen Center

The Great Lakes Teen Center, located in Forrestal Village offering teen and youth programming including, open recreation, youth and teen day trips, and special events are also offered. The Teen and Youth Program is recreational program affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of America and 4H. Great Lakes Great Lakes Teen Center also offers outdoor recreation and fitness programs along with instructional and recreational classes and activities. Scheduled developmentally appropriate activities in core program areas: Character & Leadership; Health & Life skills; The Arts; Sports, Recreation & Fitness; Education & Career; and Technology are planned based on knowledge of youth development and needs and interests of the children enrolled. The Navy Teen and Youth Program provide and uphold quality programs certified through DoD and nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).

Youth Program Ages 9-12 yrs. old 5 PM – 7 PM (Spring & Summer Hours) 5 PM - 6 PM (Fall & Winter Hours)

Teen Program Ages 13 – 18 yrs. old 3 PM – 7 PM (Spring & Summer Hours) 3 PM - 6 PM (Fall & Winter Hours)

Eligibility: Active Duty, Reservists on active duty attached to NS Great Lakes, Retirees and DOD Employees employed by Naval Station Great Lakes.
