2️⃣ A U.S. Sailor scans the horizon from the starboard bridge wing aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) during a sea and anchor evolution in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
3️⃣ The world's largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), Norwegian Navy Frigate HNoMS Thor Heyerdahl (F314), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96), Norwegian Navy replenishment oiler HNoMS Maud (A 530), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Winston S. A MH-60S Seahawk helicopter attached to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 1 flies over Patuxent River, Maryland August 26, 2025. 2️⃣ Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Daisy Rodriguez, from Los Angeles, directs an EA-18G Growler, attached to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 133, as it prepares to launch from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) in the Pacific Ocean.
3️⃣ Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) conducts research and testing on underwater sonar equipment to evaluate the effectiveness of these tools in advancing the capabilities of Fleet divers in Port Hueneme, Calif.

Step off the edge 🪂

U.S. East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare Operators (SEALs) execute a free fall jump from an MC-130J Commando II assigned to the 27th Special Operations Wing during ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) in Kodiak, Alaska.

AE25 provided Special Operations Command North the opportunity to test a range of capabilities and response options to deter, disrupt, degrade, and deny competitor activity in the Arctic in support of globally integrated layered defense of the homeland. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
