We believe our Village needs to be restored to a place where people want to live, work, dine and shop in a beautiful, clean, viable and safe environment. We want to improve the quality of life for all residents and see all our empty stores occupied. By creating more transparency within our government, everyone will be able to work together to bring Great Neck Plaza back to the high standards that we remember and deserve.

Leonard N. Katz has lived in Great Neck since 1971. He and his wife, Floura have resided in the Plaza since 2001. His community and civic service stretch back over 45 years. He served as Treasurer of the Great Neck United Parent-Teacher Council as well as past President of Temple Israel Men’s Club. Len was also an International Executive Board member of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs and served as its Treasurer. He was twice elected as President of the Rotary Club of Great Neck. Today, he’s an active Board Director and member of the Executive Committee of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce.
For over 35 years, Len’s professional life in the financial services industry has encompassed specializing in conservative investing in guiding individuals, families, corporations, and institutions. As a Registered Financial Advisor, he provided additional education and benefits to other financial planning executives as well as retail investors.
Len's many years of involvement in a multitude of positions within various organizations have enabled him to learn and grasp the concepts of what Civic service is all about, and these past 45 years have prepared him for the future to lead the Village of Great Neck Plaza as its next Mayor.
Len remembers how Great Neck Plaza used to be, with Gertz in the Gardens Shopping Center, Larry and the Red Head restaurant on the corner of Middle Neck Rd and South Station Plaza and Mister Jay Drama in Footwear, and who could forget Millie’s Restaurant. People and shoppers would come from great distances to our town for it was the destination point to shop the many stores and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Len wants to make every attempt to revive Great Neck plaza and bring back its superior stature and pro-business environment. He’ll create a plan to bring together residents, property owners, merchants, real estate agents, builders, architects, and local non-profit organizations to work to bring back the days when we didn’t have as many closed shops. He envisions making Great Neck Plaza, once again, the place where people want to come and visit, congregate, shop, eat, browse, and enjoy our local entertainment. This will include encouraging younger families to come here to live, work and begin a new life to raise their children in a clean, fun, safe village with its superior schools.

Robert Farajollah - Trustee
Robert Farajollah was born in Iran and immigrated to Israel at the age of 15. By the time he was 18, he moved to the United States.
Robert studied architecture at the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan. However, he always had a passion for business so he entered the apparel industry (via the ‘garment center’) and eventually started his own line of junior sportswear. After 22 years in the fashion industry, Robert transitioned into the beauty-care sector by founding his own creative line of facial cosmetics which are distributed throughout the United Stated and overseas.
Robert believes he has acquired significant business experience that will allow him to assist The Village of Great Neck Plaza in bringing back a ‘pro-business’ environment. He wants our village to be more inviting and friendly for 'business-minded people' to establish and grow their businesses and to be able to flourish, thrive and be profitable. Robert says: “It’s time that the Plaza’s main business district ceases being filled with signs that read 'business closed' and 'store for rent or lease'." Instead, Great Neck Plaza should be a village for establishing new and exciting businesses and a place to re-establish and revive a community that we all can be proud to ‘call our home’.
Robert has lived in Great Neck since 1989 and has been in the Plaza for the last 8 years. He is the proud father of a son who currently works in the Financial Services Industry. He’s a member of the North Shore Sephardic Synagogue on Bayview Avenue and is an active member of the congregation
