Dear District 6 Families and Community,

As we prepare for a new high school football season at the District 6 Stadium, the safety and security of our students, families, and staff remain our highest priority. To maintain a secure and efficient entry process, District 6 is implementing updated security screening and clear bag guidelines for all major events.

Entry and Screening

New Entrance: All spectators will enter on the north side of the stadium and pass through metal detectors prior to entering.
Arrive Early: Gates open 60 minutes before general events and 90 minutes before homecoming or intercity rivalry games. Arrive early to avoid long lines.
Plan Ahead: Remind family members that no reentry is permitted once you leave the stadium.
Travel Light: Bring only essential items inside clear, approved bags to speed up inspection.
Clear Bag Policy

To enter the stadium, all bags must meet specific size and material requirements and are subject to inspection:

Clear Totes: Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC totes are permitted up to 12" x 12" x 6".
Small Clutch Bags: Small non-clear clutches or wallets, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" are permitted.
Medical & Diaper Bags: Medically necessary items and diaper bags are allowed, but are subject to search upon entry.
Prohibited Items

To ensure a smooth entry, please leave the following prohibited items at home or in your vehicle:

Non-Compliant Bags: Standard backpacks, oversized purses, and camera cases.
Safety & Security Hazards: Weapons of any kind, laser pointers, and glass containers.
General Prohibited Items: Skateboards, alcohol and to***co products (including e-cigarettes and vapes).
I am including a video to ensure the policy is clearly communicated. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our school events safe and enjoyable for everyone. We look forward to seeing you in the stands!

Sincerely,
Michael Mathews

Atentamente,
Michael Mathews

Annual fundraising donations are a MAJOR component of how families can support Brentwood Middle Schools continued success!
All of the proceeds go directly to support the students, staff and programs at Brentwood. This is the ONLY school-wide fundraiser at BMS.
How it works: You can donate 6/8 - 9/4. The fundraiser will culminate in an afternoon of Fun For All including a bubble blast for our students to celebrate.
During the fundraising period we will have fun incentives and competitions to help us reach our school goal of raising $10,000!!! Last year we were so close because of your generosity.
Let's do it again.
Each student has an individual fundraising goal of $25. We have tons of fun prizes for students too.

2 ways to donate:
Online- https://greeley.revtrak.net/Middle-Schools/Brentwood/Brentwood-Middle-School/ #/v/Brentwood-Donation-638
Cash or check- Please put cash in an envelope or zip lock bag
or a check made out to Brentwood Middle School.
Send the money to school with your student to turn into the main office or their CORE 1 teacher.

This week is our first Spirit Week of the
year! We encourage all students to participate in the
dress up days. We especially encourage students to participate in our “Dress to Impress” spirit day as we will also have our first dance of the year on Friday. This also serves as a fundraiser
for our student council. The cost is $5 to get in and
concessions will be sold. We will dismiss kids who
have their money starting at 3:30 and students will
need to be picked up at 5:00.

🐯🚣‍♀️ WE’RE READY TO ROW! 🚣‍♂️🐯

What a week at Brentwood Middle School! Our teachers and staff spent the week getting ready to welcome our Bengals back—and we did it the best way we know how: together! 🧡🖤

Inspired by the “Row the Boat” philosophy from Jon Gordon and PJ Fleck, we were reminded that success isn’t about one person rowing the boat. It takes all of us—rowing together, staying focused, and moving in the same direction. 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

This week, our Bengals:
🐯 Built relationships and strengthened our team through team-building games
📊 Dug into data to better understand and support our students
📚 Planned meaningful lessons and learning experiences
🏫 Prepared and transformed our classrooms for a new year
🍪 Delivered cookies to our incoming 6th graders to let them know we’re excited to welcome them to Brentwood
👋 Connected with families during Back to School Night

Every conversation, every lesson plan, every classroom setup, and every cookie delivered was another stroke of the oar toward an amazing school year.

We are ALL IN. We are ONE TEAM. And we are ready to ROW THE BOAT for our students!

Let’s go, Bengals! 🐯🧡🖤
Give ’em the Claw! 🐾
