The Hawks showed up at their Friday Assembly! 🎉

7th and 8th graders welcomed the 6th graders to Prairie Heights Middle School, and special guests from Heiman Elementary were also there to cheer on their former students as they start middle school. Greeley Central High School - GCHS cheerleaders led the excited crowd in cheers and performed stunts.

The Hawks expressed gratitude to their community partner SM Energy. SM Energy sponsored the purchase of brand new, girls basketball uniforms during the 2025-2026 season. We are so grateful for SM Energy's generosity and support!

Our very first Middle School Student-Athlete of the Week Leah Ramirez Cerrillo was also recognized for her sportsmanship, leadership, and talent on the volleyball court. And, no Hawk Assembly is complete without a staff game - "Sn**ch the Wig"!

We hope you have an amazing school year, Hawks! 🦅

The D6 Difference: Here's why staff choose D6!

Meet District Student Advocate Desire'e Clark from the District 6 Family Center!

"One thing about the Family Center culture that makes me feel valued is how much we support and encourage one another. We work as a team, share ideas and resources, and step in to help each other when a family more student needs additional support. There is a genuine sense that we are all working toward the same goal, helping our students and families feel supported and connected. That sense of teamwork and purpose is a big part of what makes the Family Center feel like a place I want to stay."

Congratulations to our high school D6 Athlete of the Week Bo Tellez from Northridge High School!

"For the last four years, Bo has been a true leader on this team - not just by what she says, but by how she shows up every day. She is gritty, tough, and never afraid of a challenge. She leads by example and pushes everyone around her to work harder and compete harder. Her determination and relentless mindset have made her someone her teammates can count on. Her impact on this team goes far beyond the game, and her leadership will be remembered long after these four years are over." - Kiri Riofrio, Coach

Thinking of Coach Duff and our Grizzlies and Spartans. Rest Easy, Duff.

From Northridge High School:

This past week has been very difficult for everyone who had the chance to meet Coach Duff. When Coach Duff walked into our program 8 years ago, he was a whirlwind of passion from day one and a constant staple of what a mentor and coach should be. Today, we want to take a moment to honor and thank Coach Duff for all he gave to our program, our athletes, our community, and myself.

Coach Duff’s impact went far beyond the field. He invested his time, energy, wisdom, and heart into the young people he coached, helping them grow not only as athletes, but as people. His dedication and passion left a lasting mark on so many lives.

We are heartbroken by his passing. While words can’t fully express how much he will be missed, we are incredibly grateful for the memories, lessons, friendships, and legacy he leaves behind.

Thank you, Duff, for everything you did for our program and everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. Your impact will continue to live on through the coaches you mentored, athletes you coached and the community you helped build.

Rest easy, Duff. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten!

Funeral arrangements are below for those wanting to attend.

Greeley Central High School - GCHS student June Mattox participated in the D6 Internship Program this summer, where she interned at the Immigrant Refugee Center ☀

June loved her experience at the Immigrant Refugee Center so much that she spent an extra week painting the kids she worked with. This beautiful painting will hang in the Little Learners Room at the center.

Thank you for sharing your creativity and talent, June! 🎨🖌
