We regret to inform you that after close consideration with YFC leadership and the YFC Board of Directors, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 Cornhopalooza: Co****le Tournament scheduled for August 28th, until further notice.

Having spent countless hours preparing for the event with our planning committee, and event partners, while also considering the increasing cases of the Covid-Delta variant, we’re genuinely upset not to be able to host the event at this time.

We are looking for 1-4 dynamic individuals to join the YFC Board of Directors!

The Board of Directors is a volunteer role and will support the work of Youth & Family Connections and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by YFC’s Executive Director, the Board-Executive Director relationship is a partnership tightly coupled with collaboration and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for community members and leaders who have a passion to support youth in our community!

A Board Member abides by and actively supports the vision, mission and values of YFC. YFC Board Members serve for a period of 3 years and report to the Board Chair.

A Board Member works with volunteers, current and potential partners, and key stakeholders to promote the mission. YFC Board Members act as an ambassador for Youth & Family Connections in the community and help spread the mission of the organization.

YFC Board Members will consider Youth & Family Connections a philanthropic priority so they can credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals.

Service on YFC Board of Directors is without remuneration, except for approved expense in relation to Board Members’ duties.

This position requires but is not limited to the following skills: Community Focused, Community Leadership, Clear Understanding of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, Fundraising, Management, Performance Management, Volunteer Coordination, Resource Development / Management, Donor Management, Business Development.
