Throwback Thursday

This Throwback Thursday, we're celebrating more than 30 years of Frontier Academy history by taking a closer look at one of our most meaningful symbols—our school crest.

Inspired by a compass rose and a traditional coat of arms, the crest represents the well-rounded education and enduring values that have guided Frontier Academy since the very beginning.

🛡️ The shield and laurel symbolize achievement, character, and academic excellence.

🚜 The covered wagon honors our Pioneer roots and reminds us of the journey that has shaped Frontier Academy while pointing us toward the future.

✍️ The quill and paper celebrate the importance of literacy, communication, and lifelong learning.

⚛️ The atom represents science, discovery, and innovation.

➗ The symbol π (Pi) reflects the limitless possibilities of mathematics and the strong academic foundation that prepares students for success.

🔴⚪🔵 The crest's red, white, and blue colors pay tribute to Frontier Academy's original school colors, symbolizing truth, justice, purity, and courage.

As we celebrate 30 years of Building Leaders, we proudly honor the traditions that brought us here and the vision that continues to lead us forward.

Mrs. Phipps is one of the first friendly faces you'll see each day, always greeting everyone with a warm smile and a cheerful hello. She plays an important role in keeping our staff and students safe, approaches every challenge with professionalism, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. No task is too big or too small—her dedication and kindness make a difference every single day.

💙 The Frontier Academy community is coming together to support one of our own.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dustin Duff, the husband of Mrs. Jenna Duff, our Secondary Math and Intervention Teacher. After a courageous battle with cancer, Dustin passed away last week.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask our Frontier Academy family and community to keep Jenna and her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

In memory of Dustin Duff, Greeley West Football is asking the community to come together for a man who gave so much to others. Dustin was a Colorado native, a beloved coach, and someone whose life reflected service, leadership, and a deep commitment to young people. From his years in law enforcement to his work coaching high school football in Fort Lupton, Northridge, and Greeley West, Dustin made a lasting impact on the lives of so many. He believed in football as more than a game. For Dustin, it was a way to guide, encourage, and support young people with the kind of steady presence they would always remember.
Last week, Dustin lost his courageous battle with cancer, leaving the Greeley West Football community devastated and his family facing an incredibly difficult time. This fundraiser is being created to help ease some of that burden by supporting Dustin’s family with medical bills and funeral costs. Any support, no matter the size, will help provide much-needed relief and show Dustin’s loved ones that they are not alone in their grief. Please consider giving if you are able, and sharing this fundraiser with others who may want to honor Dustin’s life, legacy, and the difference he made at Greeley West High School and across Northern Colorado.
