The Colorado FFA Foundation seeks resources - human, financial and in-kind - to support agricultural education in Colorado, including students (FFA, ATA and CYFEA), teachers (CVATA) and alumni. In 1983, a group of volunteers organized the Colorado FFA Foundation to provide a strong support system for the Colorado FFA Association and its student members. In 1989, the Foundation was incorporated as

a non-profit entity and began actively seeking funds to support Colorado Team Ag Ed and its members by funding leadership development, personal growth and career success activities, events and scholarships. In the past five years, the Foundation has raised and invested more than $500,000 in Coloradoโ€™s young people.

My name is Ryder and I am from the Weld Central FFA Chapter. I received a Production Heifer Wrangle grant this year and am excited about this opportunity to grow my cattle herd. My heifer is doing great and growing nicely. She is looking good every day when I take care of her and hasn't gotten sick at all. My responsibilities include feeding, cleaning pens, and keeping records of when I buy feed or have other expenses. I also have 4 other cows that I take care of and she is a great addition to my growing herd that I want to keep up with in and outside of high school. Thank you to Russell Cattle Company, Chevron and the Colorado FFA Foundation for this opportunity!

Hi, my name is Hailey and I'm a member of the Springfield FFA Chapter. This year, I was honored to receive a Heifer Wrangler grant sponsored by Animal Health International. I would like to thank Bailey Naibauer for her support. I would also like to thank the Russell family for my heifer Dip-N-Dot. Dip-N-Dot and I have been working to be show-ready by this summer.

Hello, my name is Alden, and I am a member of the Alamosa FFA Chapter. I am honored to be one of this yearโ€™s recipients of the Heifer Wrangle Grant, which allowed me to purchase my heifer named Bobette. I am excited to show her at this year's Colorado State Fair, and I have been enjoying working with Bobette to prepare for State Fair. This is my first year ever showing, so this is an entirely new experience for me. I still have a lot to learn; however, I have been making considerable progress with my heifer. I am excited to use this grant to start my own herd and continue to show in following years with the eventual goal of making a profitable business. This grant has been a tremendous help to me in getting into showing cattle and is a great opportunity for me to grow and expand my knowledge. I would like to thank my sponsor, Colorado Farm Bureau, specifically CFB employees Kacie Sallee and Taylor Szilagyi, for making this possible.

My name is Rylie and I'm a freshman in the Sargent FFA chapter. My family owns and raises Simmental Angus cattle in the San Luis Valley. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball, and I also show my 4-H steers year-round. In October 2025, I applied for the production heifer grant. In November, I was awarded a grant worth $2000. The production heifer grant includes one heifer to be bred and shown at the 2026 Colorado State Fair. After I was awarded the grant, I was able to pick my heifer out of an outstanding group of heifers that all came from Russel Cattle Company. I brought my heifer home almost immediately after the National Western Stock Show, where I met my sponsor from the Boettcher Foundation. Upon bringing her home, I named her Dolly. She weighs about 610 pounds now. Dolly has been to her first show in Calahan, Colorado. Dolly has put on 100 pounds roughly since I brought her home. Since she needs to be bred at the time of the show at the Colorado State Fair, I plan to AI her to a show bull. At the moment I plan to AI her to Kung Fu Panda. We are planning to AI her in May 2026, so she will have a baby in March 2027. I am so blessed for the opportunity to expand my herd and meet some amazing people along the way.

Hi, my name is Lexi, and I am a member of the Plateau Valley FFA Chapter. This year, I was very fortunate to receive an SAE grant from the Colorado FFA Foundation to help me buy a panel system for my breeding goat program. I'm super thankful for my sponsor Bailey Naibauer at Animal Health International.

For my SAEโ€™s, I raise and breed registered Boer goats along with wether-bred goats that I sell to other 4-H and FFA members. I also show my goats across the nation at the national level. I am currently raising 30 head of goats, some of which I will show at the American Boer Goat Association National show.
