A lawn watering variance is available for Greeley water customers who are installing new seed or sod or overseeding patchy lawn areas. The free variance allows watering during restricted hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and provides additional water at the lowest tiered rate to help establish the lawn without exceeding the water budget. https://GreeleyCO.gov/water/variances

🏠 National Homeownership Month is a time to recognize the important role stable, affordable housing plays in building strong communities.

Homeownership can create long-term stability for individuals and families, help residents build equity, and strengthen neighborhoods across Greeley. It also supports community connection, economic opportunity, and a higher quality of life.

At Housing Solutions, our team works every day to expand housing opportunities and help ensure homes are affordable and attainable for residents across a range of income levels. That work matters because a strong community depends on having housing options that allow people to live, work, and thrive right here in Greeley.

This month, we’re highlighting the programs, partnerships, and resources that support homeownership in our community.

After six weeks of reviewing project information, asking questions and evaluating potential paths forward, the West Greeley Citizen Oversight Committee has reached its first formal recommendation to City Council.

The committee recommends that the City continue pursuing a financing partner capable of securing interest rates equal to or better than those originally projected for the project. The committee also recommended pausing its work until a potential partner is identified and more detailed information is available, including proposed financing terms, updated project costs, economic development projections and other key financial considerations.

Committee members indicated that additional discussion would be most productive once this information is available and can be evaluated as part of a complete recommendation package.

The committee's recommendation was presented to City Council for consideration at this evening's session. If a financing partner is identified, the committee would reconvene to review the information, provide feedback and continue its evaluation of potential paths forward.

Throughout the process, the committee has emphasized transparency, public engagement and careful review of the facts before making recommendations about the future of the project.

📣COMMUNITY NOTICE📣

The Greeley Police Department wants to notify residents, business owners, and commuters near Northridge High School of an upcoming active shooter scheduled training operation.

🗓️ Date: Wednesday, June 10, 2026
⏰ Time: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Northridge High School

During these hours, there will be a highly visible police presence at the school. Community members in the surrounding neighborhoods may hear several loud noises, simulated pyrotechnics, or firework-like sounds originating from the campus.

Please be assured that this is a controlled, pre-planned training exercise designed to keep our officers sharp, prepared, and ready to protect our schools. There is no danger to the public, and this is not a response to an active incident.

We ask that you please help us spread the word to your neighbors so no one is alarmed by the noise, and we kindly request that community members avoid dialing 911 regarding noises at the high school during this specific timeframe.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued partnership as we work to keep Greeley safe!

The City of Greeley is developing a plan for public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging and alternative-fuel stations — and we want YOUR input. Your feedback will help determine where charging stations are placed at city-owned locations so they're convenient and accessible for everyone.

Why does this matter?
✅ EV and alternative fuel vehicles cost less to operate
✅ More charging stations = more transportation options for our community
✅ Your input helps the City secure funding for future infrastructure

Take a few minutes to complete the Greeley Electric Vehicle Charging Survey and make your voice heard!
