Recently SPC Pogreba, a member with B Co 432nd CA BN, competed in the 353 CACOM Best Warrior Competition. After many events, over multiple days, SPC Pogreba was crowned the winner for E4 and below. Congrats to SPC Pogreba and best of luck in the next round!

Former 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Curtis, was wounded in action while leading from the front nearly 14 years ago near Sadr City in Baghdad. After returning home from this deployment, (then) Colonel Curtis later went on to serve as the 4th Training Brigade Commander of the 95th Training Division - Initial Entry Training, and as the 353 Civil Affairs Command Chief of Staff before retiring after 32+ years of faithful service to the U.S. Army and our nation. 🇺🇸

U.S. Army Lt. Col. Francis Joseph Curtis Jr. of , , was on April 28, 2008 while serving as part of . Lt.Col. Curtis was serving with the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion, 4th Infantry Division when an enemy IDF attack occurred in direct proximity to Multi-National Corps-Iraq, Sadr City Force's defensive position.

Adam Alexander- Afghanistan/Army Veteran. Adam served in Civil Affairs and work along side Special Forces ODA while deployed. Adam was shot in the head and lost the usage of his right eye. Adam’s story is incredible, inspiring, and humbling.🇺🇸❤️🎙

Adam Alexander, with his wife Captain Kate Alexander, receive a card signed by current and alumni members of the 432D celebrating the 10-Year anniversary of his “ALIVE” Day. Staff Sergeant Alexander was wounded on November 10, 2011 while deployed as a civil affairs Soldier from the 432D in Paktiya Province, Afghanistan. As we approach this coming Memorial Day, remembering the USACAPOC(A) Soldiers we've lost during deployments since 9-11.

MAJ Dwayne Kelley.
(OIF 6-24-2008, 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion, 353 Civil Affairs Command)

Major Dwayne Kelley, 48, was killed by a bomb blast in Sadr City, Baghdad on June 24, 2008, which killed three other Americans. He was assigned to the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion and was serving his third tour in Iraq. MAJ Kelley graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Willingboro, NJ and earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, actively participating in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.. He entered the Army in 1978 and served as a light wheel vehicle mechanic until 1981. MAJ Kelley commissioned into the Ordnance branch of the U.S. Army Reserve in 1985 upon graduating from Rutgers, reclassified to Military Police in 1999, and became a Civil Affairs officer in 2004, serving in assignments with the 404th Civil Affairs Battalion, Airborne and 353rd Civil Affairs Command. In civilian life he served as a state trooper with the New Jersey State Police starting in 1988, reaching the rank of Detective Sergeant First Class. MAJ Kelley spoke fluent Arabic, and participated in numerous counter-terrorism efforts with the FBI and New York State Police. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, mother, and several other family members.
