Flashback of Season 4:
1st night of skating- Dec 16
Last night of skating- March 10 (we think)
Total days of skating- 42!! (Ties our previous record of 6 weeks)
We estimate our kids saw an extra 120-150 hours of ice time. (Typically a regular youth hockey season is 90 hrs)
Season with most skaters falling over the boards = 8 Skaters, 14 times. Last season was the first time a skater fell out and it only happened twice!
We went through a record amount of firewood, blazing at least 16 pallets.
First season anyone rebounded off the house!
Second season in a row we ended up with a puck on our roof, first season we ended up with a puck on our neighbors roof!
First season with a hockey injury.
We started the season with 50 pucks, we ended up with only 2 left on the ice at the end of the night. I'm sure our puck hunt will be epic! But about 12 slipped over the edge into the water by the big boards last night. Gonna be awhile before we will retrieve those!! Patience!! It's like watching ice melt!!
Thanks to all who stopped by, took a pass with a shovel, took a huge digger to make us laugh, and bringing your own alcohol! You guys rock!
Next year we are getting Green Hill Jerseys, adding sponsors to the boards, and will be mulling over a warming hut and ice bar!
