Green Island Food Pantry

Green Island Food Pantry Each year, the pantry is replenished by one major food drive held in October. It is also the benefactor of generous monetary donations of the community.

With these donations, items such as meets, dairy products and produce are able to be purchased. There are 3 major holidays where food baskets are distributed, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Throughout the year, families who need assistance may contact the Food Pantry to ask for help.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace
We recently teamed up with the local chapter to make and provide beds to any child that either doesn’t have a bed or the one they have is not suitable for them.
If you know of any families that could use this help please have them register at this site

On Saturday March 27 a team will be meeting at the DOME to make the beds. They come with a mattress, sheets and pillowcases and can be made into bunk beds. They are delivered and assembled right at the child’s home.
Donations can be made by sending a check to my office at 2 15th St made out to SHP Mechanicville Chapter
