As I sit here and reflect on my last 4 years as a Sweetwater County Commissioner, I can share that it was a humbling experience to be elected 4 years ago and have had the opportunity to serve this great County. I first have to thank the citizens of our county, as without their votes I would not have had the opportunity to have served.
Typically, I am a wordy guy and don't shy away from conversation. But I want to keep this last message quick. Best of luck to the newly elected commissioners (Island Richards, Robb Slaughter, and Keaton West)- I have faith that you will also serve this county proudly and strongly. To Lauren Shoenfeld and Mary Thoman, I know you both will continue to serve this County and I was honored to have served with you. Jeff and Doc, best wishes to you and your future. It will be odd not to spend every other Tuesday with all four of you.
Lastly, thank you to the amazing folks, that I was part of the Sweetwater County team with; Elected Officials, Department Heads, all employees (truly the cornerstone of the County), other government officials, organizations in the county, our local legislators, our partners in the County, and all of the amazing folks we that call Sweetwater County home. After 4 years I am thankful for the many friendships, relationships, and partnerships I have been blessed to foster.
It will be odd not to head to the County building tomorrow morning. Though I will miss serving this County, I am thankful to have had the opportunity to serve the last 4 years, grow as a leader, and make a difference in our community. I know great things are on the horizon in Sweetwater County.
I will be shutting down this page (Lloyd for Commissioner) over the next week, so if you have questions or any way I can help you, please let me know.
