This has been a long thought process. But due to the continuing censorship on social media. I can no longer participate or support something that violates everything the oath I took stands for. On May 31, 2021. I will delete not only my account but any which I am solely responsible for. I will surely miss the direct contact with family and my grandkids

Just in case you thought your County VSO can't keep working your claims. My helper is the only hamper this morning. We go the extra mile for our vets. When I have to work remotely from the home office, just about every claim gets a cat scan.

Due to the Inclement Weather the Veteran Service Office will be closed this week. We are working on being able to access our office voice messages remotely. We ask that our veterans not travel unless necessary, due to the road conditions.

We are asking all to check on your family and neighbors, to make sure everyone is doing okay (Buddy Check).

TN Department Service Officer Relief Fund, organized by Terry Wilson

Currently, we have a veteran and spouse that were traveling from Michigan to Mississippi, to deliver food supply to their home American Legion Post 89 Decatur, MS. While coming through KY, the veteran has a cardiac emergency and was transferred from Glasgow, KY to Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. We have made arrangements for housing at a nearby hotel for the next 2 weeks. If everything goes well, the veteran will be released to go home at that time. Then we will need to look at transportation, for them to get home, to Michigan.

American Legion Post 45 and Auxiliary Unit 45 in Greenbrier, TN has taken the lead on this and is coordinating assistance for the veteran and spouse. We greatly appreciate any assistance that be provided. Funds will be primarily be used for this family and excess funds will be held to assist other families. All parties involved are volunteers and all funds go to the assistance of veterans.
