7th grade science students have been busy learning about the elements on the periodic table. Today, students learned how to calculate the number electrons and neutrons using the APE MAN strategy! Can your 7th grader tell you about their learning today? Try giving them an element on the periodic table and have them use the strategy to find number of protons, electrons, and neutrons in an atom! ⚛️

What is a true rivalry?! 7th Grade Literacy hooked students into their new novel, The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P Figg. The historical fiction book is based during the Civil War and the main character faces the consequences of America’s inner rivalry! Students analyzed rivalry and informational text to gain background knowledge of the civil war for their upcoming novel and listened to library orientation with Mrs. Pavan!

Mr. Pickett’s 7th graders are learning different techniques for painting with watercolors! Today, students were trying different strokes and determining the right water to color ratio.
