🚒🚑🚔 Battle of the Badge 🚔🚑🚒

Come out to the Battle of the Badge First Responders Softball Tournament, where firefighters, law enforcement, and EMS come together for a day of friendly competition in support of a great cause.

Opening Ceremony is 7:30am

This year’s tournament is being held in honor of Officer Matthew Hillis (Badge #213). Every game played, every donation, and every show of support helps honor one of our own and demonstrates the strength of the first responder family.

In addition to exciting softball games, we’ll be hosting a silent auction featuring high-value items generously donated by local businesses and supporters. This is your chance to bid on some incredible prizes while helping support an important cause.

Bring your family, invite your friends, and enjoy a day of great softball, community fellowship, food, and giving back. Whether you’re cheering from the stands, participating in the silent auction, or simply coming out to show your support, you’ll be helping make a meaningful difference.

We would like to wish our citizens a Happy 4th of July!

Here are some important Firework Safety Tips to remember so that you and your loved ones enjoy a safe holiday:

Clear a wide, open space away from houses, dry grass, leaves, trees, sheds, vehicles, and flammable materials.

Have a garden hose, bucket of water, or fire extinguisher (ABC type) ready.

Be sure to read and follow the manufacturers safety label and/or instructions provided with the fireworks.

Keep spectators at a safe distance (25-50 feet, or per label instructions).

Soak all used fireworks and duds in a bucket of water or otherwise fully saturate them for at least 20 minutes to fully extinguish any hidden embers.

After soaking, place the wet fireworks in a sturdy plastic bag and seal it before placing it into the trash.

Never put used fireworks directly into the trash while they’re still hot or dry. We have responded to many destructive fires resulting from improperly discarded fireworks.

Extinguish any lingering embers by wetting down the launch area thoroughly before leaving it unattended.

In case of fire: call 911 immediately.

Robertson County Emergency Management Agency Encourages Residents to Report Home Damage Through State Survey

Robertson County Emergency Management Agency is encouraging residents whose homes were impacted by recent severe weather to complete a brief online damage reporting survey.

The survey helps state and local officials better understand the type and extent of damage communities are experiencing. While submitting the survey does not guarantee financial assistance, it plays an important role in helping emergency management leaders assess impacts and identify potential recovery needs.

The survey is designed to be easy and can be completed in just a few minutes from a computer or mobile device.

The Greenbrier Fire Department has stayed extremely busy responding to calls throughout this winter storm. We want to extend a huge thank you to Agape Church in Greenbrier, Greenbrier Pizza & Pub, and Depot Bar & Grill in Springfield for taking care of our first responders with meals over the past few days. Your support means more than you know. Lastly, thank you to our dedicated members of the Greenbrier Fire Department for their hard work, long hours, and commitment to keeping our community safe during the storm. We’re proud of this team.
