I think I may have finally found a word for the strange moment we seem to be living through:

VERITOVORETEX
veh-RIT-oh-VOR-eh-teks

I’m claiming this one. 😂

A Veritovoretex is what I would call a planetary-scale phenomenon where truth, logic, evidence, and shared reality seem to get sucked into some enormous invisible vortex, leaving behind a vacuum where coherent understanding used to be.

It isn’t simply misinformation. It isn’t just people disagreeing. It’s something more unsettling:

Truth becomes uncertain → logic loses authority → evidence loses weight → contradictions become acceptable → shared reality begins to dissolve.

The word comes from:

Verito- from veritas, Latin for truth
-vore from vorare, to devour
-tex from vortex, a spiraling force

So essentially:

VERITOVORETEX = a vortex that devours truth.

And the adjective:

Veritovorectic
Having the characteristics of a Veritovoretex.

For example:

> “That wasn’t just another WTF moment. The whole conversation had become veritovorectic. It felt like reality itself was being sucked into a vacuum.”

Maybe I’m overthinking it. Maybe I’m watching the world spin a little too closely.

But sometimes you need a new word when the old ones aren’t big enough for what you’re trying to describe.

Veritovoretex.

Isn’t  this the truth

MOSCOW—In what is being described as a landmark deal, on Monday Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formalized joint ownership of Donald J. Trump.

At a press conference in the Kremlin, Netanyahu characterized the deal as a "timeshare."

“Vlad will own him when he wants to reject peace proposals regarding Ukraine, and I’ll own him when I want to reject peace proposals for Gaza,” he said. “Everyone wins.”

By jointly owning Trump, the two leaders will also acquire stakes in over 200 Republican members of Congress, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and CBS News chief Bari Weiss.

So there you have it.

Huge congratulations to Abdul El-Sayed for winning the Democratic primary to become our nominee to be Michigan’s next US Senator. I’m proud to give Abdul my full endorsement and support as we head to November together as a unified party.

Take it from me — this was a brutal primary. But whatever differences there were between the candidates in this race, those differences are nothing compared to the contrast in November. Donald Trump and Mike Rogers are banking on all of us being too bruised, too proud, and too hurt to come back together to beat them. Let's prove them wrong.

Because if we want everyone to have healthcare, if we want to protect our voting rights, if we want to end the grift and corruption of the Trump administration, if we want to end the abuses of ICE, if we want to lower costs and end illegal wars and rebuild this country to serve the people — not Donald Trump — the only way we get there is together.

The entire country will be watching Michigan. Let's show them who we really are. Let's come together, fight with all we’ve got, and on November 3rd, beat Mike Rogers. Again (embarrassing for him). Let's prove that Michigan can and will lead the fight to take our country back.

Steve Kornacki reported at about 2 am that the Decision Desk has called the race for El-Sayed.

It makes you wonder how much good could have been done if all the money spent trying to defeat him had instead been spent helping the people who actually need it.

Maybe tonight shows that people are ready for new ideas and a different direction.
I know Im all in favor of It!
