Just a reminder there is only a few more days before our 55th class reunion. If you have not signed up to come and would like to join us, you can do so by just showing up the day of the reunion, September 12th, with your money and you are in. Update from Steve's daughter:

Well, this was not the news I was hoping to post on my Dad but her we are. Dad's scans looked promising in mid July but unfortunately we were thrown another curveball when his Ca-19 (cancer antigen) levels began to increase in his blood work. We were optimistic, but we received confirmation that there aree more lesions in his liver or the ones that have been there before have gotten bigger. It's certainly not what we thought would happen, but now Dad will be done with chemo since it is no longer working. Which is almost a relief. Yesterday the FDA approved Daraxonrasib, a drug for metastatic pancreatic cancer patients which has shown promise when chemo stops working. Our cancer team is working to get him access. I honestly don't even know how my Dad has maintained such a positive outlook on this horrible disease. That you Dad for continuing to fight when you feel exhausted, horrible and crappy. As you keep saying "it's all in God's hands". We love you so much!

Please continue to pray for our classmate and friend, Steve. He definitely needs all the positive vibes he can get!!!! cml

Just a reminder to get your info and money in for our 55th Réunion. If you are not coming, please fill out the form with your info so we can keep our records current.

Also, if you decide at the last minute to attend, let me (Cindy) know and we can make arrangements to pay when you check in at the reunion. We really are planning a fun time with good food, good friends and the band, Center of Gravity. We will also be honoring the classmates we have lost over the years. We have lost 66 classmates as of today. It would be so special if we could gather as many members of our class as we can to honor our deceased.

Reminding all classmates to get their money in for our reunion picnic. The committee has worked very hard to make this event special. We may not have a chance to do this again and would love to see a great turnout. We look forward to a wonderful band, good food, free ice cream and cupcake, and just catching up with everyone. Update on our friend Jeff Sanders. He is now in rehab at Menno Haven in Chambersburg. Please continue to pray Jeff can get all the help he needs and for strength for his family. cml

We are one month away from our reunion picnic. There is still time to make your reservations to join all the fun! We encourage you to come celebrate our many years of school memories, good and bad, Lol!!! We also want to recognize all of our classmates that we have lost and remember their time with us. Let's make this one to remember, Food, Fun and Fellowship!!!!! cml

Our 55th class reunion is fast approaching. We encourage you to send in your registration form with your money to attend or if you are not planning to attend, please fill out your info and send it to us so we know we have the correct info on all our classmates.

The gates will open at 1pm at the Owls Picnic Grounds. The main entrance is at 6496 Marsh Road Waynesboro. If you turn off Route 16 at 84 Lumber go to the stop sign. Turn right onto Marsh Rd and the grounds will be a short distance on the left. If you need "Handicap parking", you can use the 8th Street extended entrance. To get to this entrance, turn onto Fairview Avenue from Main Street and go to 8th Street. Turn right onto 8th Street and go to stop sign. The entrance to the grounds is the gravel road to the left.

We will be using the large Pavillion for our lunch, entertainment (Center of Gravity) and fellowship. If you would like to set up a canopy in the grass, you may do that. Please remember to bring whatever you want to drink. Bathrooms are very nice, clean and accessable. Of course those who are eating from the food truck will receive their choice of 1 entree, French fries and soft drink. Just to be clear, EVERYONE will receive 1 serving of ice cream from the Antietam Ice Cream Truck and cupcake.

We know this reunion will be a lot different than past reunions, but we hope many of you will attend. Now is the time to get in touch with people we may not have seen for a long time or just to spend time with those we see often. cml
