INFORMATION FOR UTV’s WITH CITY PERMITS

We will have walk-in hours from 3-4pm everyday Monday-Friday for the month of June for those needing to renew their UTV permits ($35.00). If those hours don’t work for your schedule please call in (765-848-1540) to make an appointment for renewal.

☀️ FREE SUMMER MEAL PROGRAMS ARE BACK! ☀️

👧🧒Greencastle Community Schools and Chartwells K12 are teaming up to ensure all children 18 and under have access to free, nutritious meals this summer. No registration is required!

They have two great options available, depending on the dates. Check out the details below 👇

🏫 Option 1: On-Site Meal Program
Location: Tzouanakis Intermediate
📆 Dates: May 26 – June 5
⏰ Times:
🍌Breakfast: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
🍇Lunch: 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM

📌Note: Meals for this program must be eaten on-site.

🌳 Option 2: Summer Meal Pick-Up Program
Location: Robe Ann Park
📆 Dates: June 8 – July 15
🗓️ Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday pickup
⏰ Time: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

📌Note: Meals are packaged for take-home, and you will receive meals for multiple days! Children must be present for pickup.

Funeral Service Information for Councilor Darrel Thomas:

🌸Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 1 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Dr., in Greencastle. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

🌺Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until service time.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Councilor Darrel Thomas, who passed away Wednesday, May 13th.

Councilor Thomas was more than a public servant; he was a pillar of our community, and a friend to all who knew him. Serving on the Council since March 2022, he was a steadfast advocate for our residents and a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly to make our community a better place for everyone.

We owe Councilor Thomas a great debt of gratitude—not only for his leadership, but for the kindness of his friendship. His dedication to the residents of Greencastle and Putnam County has left an indelible mark that will be felt for generations to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched during his years of service.
