Another garden donation is in the books! Recently, we were able to donate 475 pounds of fresh produce — including cucumbers, tomatoes, and squash — to New Life Baptist Church. Our men here are proud to support their community every day by growing food that helps feed local families. Grateful for the hard work and heart that make these donations possible! 🌱💚

Big shoutout to the men who wrapped up the Indiana Prison Writer’s Workshop!

These men put in 12 weeks of work, reading short stories, talking through ideas, tackling creative prompts, and building their writing skills bit by bit.

What they’re learning goes way beyond writing. It helps them communicate better with family, grow personally and professionally, and connect with restorative justice and literacy in a meaningful way.

Super proud of the effort, honesty, and creativity they brought every week. Great job everyone!

Putnamville Correctional Facility proudly participated once again in the annual Special Olympics Plane Pull!

Teams of up to 15 people take on an 82 ton Boeing 757 jetliner in a massive game of tug of war—pulling the aircraft 12 feet as fast as they can in this incredible fundraiser for Special Olympics Indiana.

This year, Putnamville placed second in the Public Service Division!

We may have taken second place overall, but we out-pulled every other participating state correctional facility—and those bragging rights are pretty amazing.

Huge congratulations to our team for their hard work, strength, and heart. We’re already looking forward to next year! 💪✈️

Putnamville Correctional Facility held its first Spanish INPEP class this past week!

INPEP teaches that prison health is community health and covers a wide range of topics from STI awareness and communicable diseases to chronic health issues and harm reduction.

This Spanish-language class was created because our peer educators saw the need and took the initiative to make health education accessible to everyone.

A proud moment for Putnamville and our dedicated educators!
