🚍 BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER 📚
School starts Wednesday, August 5, and that means school buses are back on the roads!
The Putnam County Sheriff's Department is reminding everyone to help keep our students safe as they travel to and from school.
🚸 Remember:
🟡 Flashing Amber Lights = Slow down and prepare to stop.
🔴 Flashing Red Lights & Stop Arm = STOP. It is the law.
👮 Deputies will be increasing patrols in school zones and along bus routes during the first weeks of school.
🚔 Zero Tolerance for School Bus Stop-Arm Violations
Please:
✅ Slow down in school zones.
✅ Watch for children walking and riding bicycles.
✅ Eliminate distractions while driving.
✅ Give yourself extra travel time.
Let's work together to make sure every student arrives safely and returns home safely every day.

We had another great day with the Putnam County Fraternal Order of Police. Deputy Teddy made several new friends and was caught twice putting dog treats in the cart. Not today Deputy Teddy the therapy dog.
