‼️TRAFFIC ALERT SUNDAY JULY 12th‼️

Starting at 12:00pm tomorrow local streets along and near the 2026 Fair Parade route will close until approximately 4:00pm. Uniformed Officers will be stationed along the route to assist anyone with issues navigating the detours. Please pay attention to the posted signs. Looking forward to a great parade tomorrow.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will move across central Indiana this evening into tonight with the potential for isolated severe wind gusts to 60 mph. A slight risk, or category 2 out of 5, is in effect for southwestern portions of central Indiana.

In addition, much of central Indiana has the potential for isolated flash flooding owing to thunderstorms with heavy rain moving over the same locations. Stay aware of weather conditions today into tonight and be prepared to take action if storms threaten or warnings are issued.

Several lines of strong to possibly severe thunderstorms will move across central Indiana through 12 AM. The risk for thunderstorms will end in far western areas between 8-930 PM. Ending in SW through central portions of the area between 930-1030 PM and in the remainder of the area between 1030 PM and 12 AM.

• Keep a close eye on children around fireworks, grills, water, and roadways
• Never relight a firework that does not go off
• Keep water nearby when using fireworks or grilling
• Give pets a safe, quiet place indoors
• Stay weather aware before outdoor events
• Check on older neighbors, family members, and anyone sensitive to heat
• Have a plan for getting home safely
