Putnam County’s outdoor warning sirens will be tested today, June 5, at 11:00 AM.

This is only a test of the warning siren system. No action is required from the public.

Regular testing helps ensure the sirens are functioning properly and ready to alert the community during emergencies.

INFORMATION FOR UTV’s WITH CITY PERMITS

We will have walk-in hours from 3-4pm everyday Monday-Friday for the month of June for those needing to renew their UTV permits ($35.00). If those hours don’t work for your schedule please call in (765-848-1540) to make an appointment for renewal.

Areas of fog, some patches of it dense, will continue to develop across central Indiana early this morning. Most of the fog will be near and south of the Interstate 70 corridor. Visibility may be reduced to a quarter of a mile. If traveling, be prepared for rapid changes in visibility within short distances.
