Showers and thunderstorms are expected to form along a weak cold front Saturday afternoon lasting into the late evening hours. A marginal risk (Category 1) has been issued for much of central Indiana. The primarily severe weather threat will be damaging wind gusts over 60 mph. In addition, there is a lower potential for small hail and minor flooding. Stay tuned for future updates to this severe weather forecast.

Enjoy a great weekend! Temperatures will be near seasonal with highs generally in the mid 70s to lower 80s. Expect dry conditions through the weekend with increasing high clouds later today and Saturday.

05/28/2026

Any fog, which may be dense at times, will end by mid-morning. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies through the weekend with highs generally in the middle 70s to lower 80s.

Showers and thunderstorms will gradually diminish this evening as a weakening area of low pressure moves east of Indiana. Skies are expected to slowly clear overnight as high pressure builds in, but lingering moisture may allow areas of fog to develop late tonight into early Thursday morning, with locally dense fog possible in spots.

After a warm day Thursday with highs in the low 80s, a stretch of mainly dry and quieter weather is expected from Thursday night through Saturday. High pressure and an upper-level ridge will keep conditions largely rain-free, with temperatures settling closer to seasonal levels by Friday and Saturday, generally in the mid to upper 70s.
