It is with the heaviest of hearts, that we share the passing of our own Lt. Kevin McKinney. Lt. McKinney succumbed to his fight with cancer earlier today.

Lt. McKinney served the people of Bright for 23 years. He held the position of EMS Chief and later went on to serve as our Lt. and safety officer. He was a devoted man who gave selflessly to serve his community. Our prayers go out to his wife and 3 children. As our department mourns, we would ask any donations be made at the first financial bank in Bright under Kevin Mckinney's name.

Rest in peace our brother, we have it from here.

Greendale Fire Department is proud to announce our new Engine is now in service. Be on the lookout for new E 320.

***** the road opened late last night *** we will post if there are closures today. US 50 in Greendale is shut down both directions at Oberting Road due to downed utility lines. Traffic is being detoured down Oberting Road or Belleview to direct around. Take alternative routes than US50 from 275 and or the Ohio stateline on US50. Equipment is on the scene to do repairs. Will update as soon as we get further.

Travel an alternative route or plan for delays Monday and Tuesday beginning at 8am on State Line Road between US 50 and the Hidden Valley Lake entrance.

Flaggers and Greendale Police will be out to assist with traffic both days. One lane will be closed for the better part of the stretch from the entrance to Hidden Valley to US 50. Expect long delays.

We encourage HVL and Bright resident to consider a detour either thru HVL to Georgetown or through E- town using Stevens Road and Lawrenceburg Road back to US 50.
