Every day, our firefighter/paramedics answer the call, providing lifesaving care, comfort during difficult moments, and support when our residents need it most. Whether responding to emergencies, assisting during medical calls, or standing ready 24/7, their professionalism and teamwork make a difference in countless lives.

We are proud of the men and women who serve our community with skill, courage, and compassion.

The St Al's egg drop is one of our favorite events that we do as part of our involvement in the community. This year was no exception. Watching these ingenuitive minds come up with ways to help the eggs survive drops from up to 60 ft is so impressive. Great job to all the participants and instructors. Also a great opportunity for one of our probationary firefighters to get in some ladder training.

Before heading to pump operator class, one of our probationary firefighters is putting in the work at the training ground and learning the fundamentals from experienced members.

Hands-on training like this builds the foundation for safe and effective fireground operations from understanding pump panel controls and pressures to developing confidence under pressure.

Thanks to the officers and senior firefighters who invest their time mentoring the next generation.

This week, we proudly recognize and celebrate Dispatcher Appreciation Week, honoring the dedicated professionals behind the scenes who answer the call—day and night—for our community.

Today, the Greendale Fire Department had the pleasure of delivering pizza to our incredible Greendale Police and Fire Dispatchers as a small token of appreciation for the vital work they do every single day. Their calm voices, quick thinking, and unwavering professionalism are the critical first link in every emergency response, helping keep our responders safe and our community protected.

A heartfelt thank you to our dispatchers for your commitment, teamwork, and service—you are truly the unseen heroes of public safety.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Mountain Mike’s Pizza for their generous donation and support in helping us show appreciation to these outstanding individuals.

Today, C Shift took it to the park for pumping training—focusing on the most important job we have: getting water on the fire. Every scenario, every rep, making sure we’re ready when it matters most.
