Last evening dozens of friends gathered for a fundraising event supporting my campaign at the lodge at Perfect North Slopes. I can't thank everyone enough for showing up and for contributing to my campaign. I'm truly humbled to have their support. Also a special thank you to Governor Mike Braun, my colleague Sen. Chris Garten, and my friend and TV personality John Schneider for participating in the event. Thank you again to everyone who helped make this a most successful evening.

After calling on the Governor last week to suspend the sales tax on gas, I'm grateful he finally took that step yesterday to help Hoosiers hurting from high gas prices.

Today I was notified that I received an "A" grade and endorsement of the National Rifle Association. I am a very proud supporter of our Second Amendment freedoms and will ALWAYS defend them as your State Senator. The right to bear arms is critical to our success as a nation and must ALWAYS be protected.
