In light of recent events, we would like to remind everyone that while technology and social media is so much a part of all of our lives, if you come upon any emergency situatuon please be very cautious about sharing information or images. We never know whose loved one may see the information, even when shared privately. An emergency situatuon may seem minor but could be very serious or even fatal. Would you want to learn that your child or loved one was injured in an accident or worse? Or that your home was on fire? We encourage everyone to please think about what you are posting and the impact it could have on someone else's loved ones.

REMINDER that the storm siren is and outdoor warning system. They are not designed to be heard inside your homes or businesses. Please sign up for alerts on your smart phone (ALERT IOWA) or have a weather radio nearby.

At our annual Wives Supper last night, we honored 4 members for their years of service. Luke Parcher & Dakota Clark received pins for 5 years of service, Al Zweck received a pin for 25 years of service, and Tom Smidt received his pin for 40 years of service. Thank you to these guys for their dedicated service to our community!!

Now that Fire Prevention Week is upon us, just wanted to send out a reminder. We will be hosting the North Butler Kindergarteners again this year at our station. This will take place on Wednesday at 1:00. We will have a short movie, try on gear, and shoot some water. After all of that is complete, we will parade the students through downtown somewhere around 1:45-2:00. Please come out and give them a wave and make this special day for them even better!

Thank you to everyone that braved the heat to come out and support us last night. The support of this community and the surrounding area is unbelievable!!! It’s always nice to see and visit with so many people. We served around 365 meals and roughly 50 carry outs.

Another thank you to everyone that donated supplies for meal, the families and friends that helped serve, and the guys for battling the heat from setup to clean up.
