**Community Update**

Earlier today, our department responded to an anonymous threatening call received at the high school that referenced the entire district.

Out of an abundance of caution, all schools were placed in a SECURE status while officers assessed the situation and ensured student and staff safety.

After investigating, no credible threat was identified, and the SECURE status has been lifted.

You will continue to see an increased police presence throughout the district for the remainder of the day.

We will always take these situations seriously and act quickly to protect our schools.

We appreciate the cooperation of our students, staff, families, and our local law enforcement partners.

**Community Update**

🔎 The Greenfield-Central Police Department became aware late last night of social media posts claiming that an incident occurred at Maxwell Intermediate School.

We want to reassure our families and community that no such incident occurred within Greenfield-Central Schools. Our officers verified the information and confirmed that the situation being discussed online involved a separate school district and was handled by their local law enforcement agency.

✔️ All Greenfield-Central schools are operating normally today, and there are no safety concerns within our district.

We appreciate community members reaching out when something seems concerning. If an incident were to occur within our schools, the Greenfield-Central Police Department will always work with school administration to communicate accurate information directly to our families.

🚨 Safety Update – Weston Elementary

Earlier today, Weston Elementary experienced a fire alarm activation which required the building to evacuate as part of normal safety procedures.

Students and staff did an excellent job following their evacuation protocols while the building was checked by responding personnel. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm, and no fire or safety hazard was present.

Everyone safely returned to the building and the school day continued as normal.

We appreciate the cooperation of students, staff, and our responding partners in making sure everything was handled quickly and safely.
