Greenfield Moves Polling Places

CITY OF GREENFIELD, WI – Greenfield City Clerk, Jennifer Goergen, today announced changes in Greenfield’s polling places for the April 7 election due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

“Unfortunately we have to consolidate polling places for this election due to election worker shortages and some facilities that are unable to host our usual polling locations” said Goergen.
“We apologize for the late change, but we are taking steps to notify everyone of the new locations.”

These polling places have changed:

 Glenwood School (Wards 1-4), 3550 S. 51st Street, Greenfield, has been moved to Greenfield Community Center, 7215 W. Cold Spring Road, Greenfield

 Elm Dale School (Wards 19-21), 5300 S. Honey Creek Drive, Greenfield, has been moved to Greenfield Community Center, 7215 W. Cold Spring Road, Greenfield

 King of Glory Church (Wards 13-15), 4330 S. 84th Street, Greenfield, has been moved to Whitnall High School (NORTH GYM), 5000 S. 116th Street, Greenfield

 Greenfield Public Library (Wards 16-18), 5310 W. Layton Ave., Greenfield, has been moved to Whitnall High School (NORTH GYM), 5000 S. 116th Street, Greenfield

Even though polling places will be open on Election Day, City Clerk Jennifer Goergen urges voters in the city of Greenfield to avoid polling places and vote absentee by mail instead, if possible.

Greenfield will have two polling locations open on Election Day:

 Greenfield Community Center, 7215 W. Cold Spring Road,
Greenfield Serving Wards 1-4, 5-8 and 19-21

 Whitnall High School (NORTH GYM), 5000 S. 116th Street, Greenfield Serving Wards 9-12, 13-15 and 16-18

“We want everyone who is eligible and who wants to vote to be able to do so safely,” City Clerk Jennifer Goergen said. “Absentee voting will greatly reduce crowds at polling places on Election Day, which will make social distancing much easier.”

Voters can find their polling place online at myvote.wi.gov.
