Be on the alert! A REAL lion and her cub are on the loose in northern Hancock County per reports from FOX59 News

BREAKING: The Madison County Sheriff's Department said its deputies are "on the hunt" after reports of big cats being on the loose in the southern part of the county, as well as northern Hancock County.

Happy National Dog Day from Hancock County Tourism!

This is our Executive Director, Brigette Jones' dog, and bet you will never guess his name?!?!

He was adopted as a rescue from the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter However, he was found on the Hancock County side of the county line and brought to the shelter by a Shelby County resident.

The shelter gave him his name, and it stuck...
